Through revitalization and other fundraising efforts, the Borough of Ellwood City constructed and opened its Community Plaza in downtown Ellwood City in 2013. The plaza stretches from Lawrence Avenue to Beaver Avenue near the center of the 500 block.
The Community Plaza includes cascading waterfalls, flowering planters, stately trees, a staging area for entertainment, and an open area for seating. As part of the Community Plaza and revitalization, a comfort station has been added that houses bathroom facilities available during public events.
One of the main features of the Community Plaza is the Summer Concert Series and Farmer’s Market which take place through summer months.
